Well, even though it's dang cold outside once I started getting all that cuteness out in the cutest trailer ever the decorating bug hit! So I braved it for awhile and did a little decorating! Here are some pictures I took to share!
These first few pictures are after we did work in the trailer (painting, hanging faux tin ceiling wallpaper, etc.) but before any REAL decorating.
This is the full size futon mattress I bought to replace the nasty, old foam. It actually ended up being cheaper to buy a futon mattress than it would have been to buy new foam, plus I would have then had to make covers for the foam.
You can see I have the front and back curtains up but I need new rods for the rest of the windows, so those will have to wait. You can also see the painted aqua drawers! The rest of the cabinet doors are not hung yet because I need to work on the hardware first. I covered all of the drawers and door fronts with some bead board wallpaper that I had and then painted them aqua to match the stove!
Here are some after decorating pictures...
There are several layers of bedding on the bed... vintage blankets, a chenille bedspread, some of the pillows I made...
I made all the pillows except the vintage sugar sack one... it had a drawstring on it already so all I did was shove a pillow in there, and the pink Washington pillow is vintage too!
The banner I made is hanging up now... and I found the granny square quilt at a local thrift store! You can see the faux tin ceiling pretty good here!
I plan to use the suitcases for storing games and camping essentials. Don't you just love my bear skin rug?! :o)
And on the other end of the trailer is the dining area! I had the little "Be Happy" sign already but it never really seemed to "go" in my house... I think it's just perfect in here!
To give you an idea... I did buy new foam for the dinette cushions and fabric to cover them with and that cost almost $200 (and I sewed them myself!) so you can tell that $100 for a futon mattress for the bed area was a great deal!!
A little mini banner...
This is inside the closet before... I want to put some pretty contact paper or paint inside but it will have to wait for warmer weather.
I thought this shoe/sweater hanger thing would work perfect in here! I had to shorten it a little but it adds more storage space... I mean really... do you need to hang many clothes when you are camping? I think not!
And here is the darling kitchen area...
I bought a set of these towels on Etsy, they all have different sayings!
Even the insides of the drawers are cute now! :o)
Well, there's still lots to do but it was getting dark... and colder brrr! I don't want to toot my own horn... wait yes I do... but I think my dad, mom, and I did a great job on Miss Maizy! Thanks mom and dad for giving up your summer for me and my crazy ideas all the time!! :o)
I'll show more pictures soon! In the meantime, if you've forgotten you can see what she looked like when we brought her home here... and some in progress updates here... and here... and you can click on the "My Vintage Traler" link on the right side of my blog for all the posts about Miss Maizy!
Here's one last shot as I was going out the door!

This is just beautiful!! What a great job you all have done!
Good call on that Futon mattress!
Your cushions look wonderful! I covered ours with denim.....cushion cover and all! I just washed all of it - foam and everything. Then I made covers out of denim curtains from The Pottery Barn - given to me from friends when they didn't sell in their garage sale!
Your camper is simply beautiful!!!
Hi Tania! Your little trailer is so cute! I just love it!

It's looking adorable! I was wondering if you were ever going to transfer things from your stash in the house, out to the trailer!
Mom
