I thought they were so fun and I couldn't stop watching them!</p><p><br></p><p>They were "Merry Thriftmas" videos where people shared how they thrifted for Christmas gifts and put together some really beautiful and creative gift baskets for friends and family.</p><p><br></p><p>I was sad to see it end so I decided why not create my own thrift baskets? Get it?? Gift baskets... Thrift baskets?? 😁</p><p><br></p><p>I created two for Valentine's Day and a few others so far.</p><p><br></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSLW12-xhX-vw-SJqxsJS8uDPqEp-aJ-tmRk2Q8qMhWQ5zBki56ZB5oK29k7-d-deXWfY1fFUq9Q7LjGPq4mNQH9Wt4KgkZzVZZNLYgZ4MhZORdVPPmVi5ImNG-BZxneA0s3xPZUFUsEVSIHLpR_FI4N6p1QGujEKbRSTf9VT-Ka93El_bjBsUeQ0rP_74/s700/DIY%20Thrift%20Baskets%20small.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="DIY Thrift Baskets" border="0" data-original-height="550" data-original-width="700" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSLW12-xhX-vw-SJqxsJS8uDPqEp-aJ-tmRk2Q8qMhWQ5zBki56ZB5oK29k7-d-deXWfY1fFUq9Q7LjGPq4mNQH9Wt4KgkZzVZZNLYgZ4MhZORdVPPmVi5ImNG-BZxneA0s3xPZUFUsEVSIHLpR_FI4N6p1QGujEKbRSTf9VT-Ka93El_bjBsUeQ0rP_74/s16000/DIY%20Thrift%20Baskets%20small.jpg" title="thrifted gift baskets"></a></div><br><span></span><a href="https://www.littlevintagecottage.com/2024/02/diy-thrift-baskets.html#more">Read more ›</a>Tania Pelletierhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18388815619710848529noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2943220635153251861.post-70222140776368151882024-01-27T04:00:00.000-08:002024-01-27T09:42:30.376-08:00Altered Valentine's Day Plate<p>It's time for a new Do-It-Over-Designers (DOD) challenge and also perfect timing for a little Valentine's Day project!</p><p><br></p><p>If you are new, the DOD challenge is a bi-monthly challenge where a group of my blogging friends and I take something old or unused and "do it over" into something new. I have created a cute little retro angel ornament that we'll make this time. It is inspired by some vintage ones that I've seen and some cute little mice ornaments that were made the same way that we had on our tree when I was growing up.</p><p><br></p><p>If you missed any of the last eleven months' projects, you can check them all out here:</p><p><br></p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://www.littlevintagecottage.com/search/label/12monthsofchristmas" target="_blank">Twelve Months of Christmas</a></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br></p><p style="text-align: left;">This project is easy to personalize with your choice of fabrics and hair color.</p><p style="text-align: left;"><br></p><h1 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #ed5476;">Christmas in December - Retro Angel Ornaments</span></h1><div><span style="color: #ed5476;"><br></span></div><p><br></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGKUlRfuS-ZNywkSuLO1ATqJmPoL3vzSl-Cr-orbkD8fl7RGu1CXZDSGstJlfJoU0koFeC94gkcK66AhGhtaPUVuxoaf6XtuoRso2iLglmpliaxtYkV0irmzikVbmjg75-gFUb14FUqS0lRJWXgU08r5FNLBYNwqgkCu9bddtSJChnLFLbRHAfZexse_G2/s654/Pink%20Hair%20Retro%20Angel%20Ornament%20small.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Christmas in December - Retro Angel Ornaments" border="0" data-original-height="654" data-original-width="518" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGKUlRfuS-ZNywkSuLO1ATqJmPoL3vzSl-Cr-orbkD8fl7RGu1CXZDSGstJlfJoU0koFeC94gkcK66AhGhtaPUVuxoaf6XtuoRso2iLglmpliaxtYkV0irmzikVbmjg75-gFUb14FUqS0lRJWXgU08r5FNLBYNwqgkCu9bddtSJChnLFLbRHAfZexse_G2/s16000/Pink%20Hair%20Retro%20Angel%20Ornament%20small.jpg" title="How to make Retro Angel Ornaments"></a></div><span></span><a href="https://www.littlevintagecottage.com/2023/12/christmas-in-december-retro-angel.html#more">Read more ›</a>Tania Pelletierhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18388815619710848529noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2943220635153251861.post-52834499676422444802023-12-16T00:00:00.000-08:002023-12-16T00:00:00.307-08:00Repurposed Baby Shoe Ornaments<p>If you've been reading the LVC blog for very long, then you probably know that I've been trying to work my way through some of my stash of things waiting to be repurposed or upcycled before I buy anymore.</p><p><br></p><p>I did mess up and buy something at the thrift store the other day. It's a challenge that I love but I will admit that I have a great supply of thrifted goodies to choose from. I pick up things at thrift stores and yard sales when I see something that I think can be repurposed and I always pick up craft supplies.</p><p><br></p><p>Lately, I am doing my best not to buy new projects (only craft supplies) until I have worked through some of what I have and today's project uses two things that I have had in my stash for a while now... a tobacco basket and some vintage plastic Christmas flowers.</p><p><br></p><h1 style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: #444444;">Repurposed Basket Winter Wreath</span></h1><p><br></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP5g5zwrqZBxTzE3tR3dNTYqz2-lQsfaxNf_JD544UQ-Xs8ZD-SSI5SAUSOkB3rF6eVvN4ueDskXtnN9MCGGtVUEfAGwrco3OE-kNShuz0ytQetNsuCuJ7flWvXekmmTBR42urIFmne7RmsK-DFKiLhHZArNZwI73sGtGWuCmFdStmXpiE00HDGFN-w0bC/s550/Repurposed%20Basket%20Winter%20Wreath%20small.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Repurposed Basket Winter Wreath" border="0" data-original-height="550" data-original-width="414" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP5g5zwrqZBxTzE3tR3dNTYqz2-lQsfaxNf_JD544UQ-Xs8ZD-SSI5SAUSOkB3rF6eVvN4ueDskXtnN9MCGGtVUEfAGwrco3OE-kNShuz0ytQetNsuCuJ7flWvXekmmTBR42urIFmne7RmsK-DFKiLhHZArNZwI73sGtGWuCmFdStmXpiE00HDGFN-w0bC/s16000/Repurposed%20Basket%20Winter%20Wreath%20small.jpg" title="how to make a wreath from a tobacco basket"></a></div><br><span></span><a href="https://www.littlevintagecottage.com/2023/11/repurposed-basket-winter-wreath.html#more">Read more ›</a>Tania Pelletierhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18388815619710848529noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2943220635153251861.post-40861694786885201512023-11-03T00:00:00.051-07:002023-11-03T00:00:00.139-07:00DIY Rolling Spice Rack from Curbside Finds<p>My daughter and I are working on her rental kitchen making it cuter and much more efficient.</p><p><br></p><p>If you are new, let me catch you up real quick. I purchased a new rental property from my parents and my daughter is currently living there. So, while it is my house and some of the things we are doing to improve it are permanent (like new floors), many of the updates we are doing are renter-friendly so when she moves out and I want to rent to someone else, the things we've done are easily reversible.</p><p><br></p><p>The house is just barely over 1,000 square feet, but the kitchen is quite large so there is room for some things to make it function a little better for her.
